Thank you. A brand new one costs five times as much and this one works perfectly. Item arrived quickly in very secure packaging. I can't believe the price I paid for the cartridge.
Now if i wanted to get a substitue i would have ordered that in the first place and save some money. The second one they mailed me was not the orginial HP product which is what i paid for. However, they shipped me a substitute. i had ordered a HP Laser toner and the first one i received had minimal ink. Therefore, this was not a very good experience and i will not order from this website in the future. It was very disappointing to see how difficult it was to exchange the product to obtain a new toner so i can use it. it printed like my toner which was empty of ink. After multiple emails they agreed to exchange it with the shipping costs.
Laserjets start saving you money after you pass the 800 page threshold. The laserjets are slightly more expensive, but their large ink/toner cartridge is just 3 cents per page. A deskjet is cheaper initially, but longterm is very costly to operate. Typical cartridge only yields 200 pages at a cost of 10 cents per page.
I have a HP LaserJet 1012 which is not manufactured anymore. This cartridge fits it perfectly
Don't buy these at retail if money matters to you. So I bought a replacement cartridge in advance. I guess I am "set" for a long time now. Price, price, price. [Don't you just love "fair trade" pricing schemes]. I regret that HP has chosen to go "wimpy" on the new cartridges (much smaller capacity plus 30 to 40% increase in per-page toner cost), so I searched a long time to finally locate a smaller-sized HP laser printer that uses the 12A larger-capacity cartridges. HP knows how to separate money from its owner when it comes to printer ink and toner. I found the printer.
